Terms of service

1. Agreement to terms

By downloading, accessing or using the Tarjiha mobile application or the tarjiha.com website (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are accepting on behalf of a mosque, organisation or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tarjiha.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Service plans & subscriptions

Tarjiha offers a free Community plan and a paid Masjid Pro plan. Details of features and pricing are available on the pricing page.

• Community (free): Prayer & iqamah times, adhan notifications, qibla, adhkar and scholar Q&A — free forever for every Muslim and every mosque.
• Masjid Pro ($19/month or $190/year per mosque): Committee roles, special-day overrides, events with RSVPs, multilingual announcements, member insights and custom branding.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; Pro features remain active until the end of the current paid period.

5. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by our PCI-compliant payment partner. Card details are handled entirely by the payment processor and never touch Tarjiha's servers. All prices are in US Dollars and subject to applicable taxes. For refund eligibility, see our refund policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful or infringes the rights of others.
• Impersonate another person, mosque or organisation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
• Scrape, data-mine or extract information from the Service using automated means without our prior written consent.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section at our sole discretion.

7. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you submit (questions, events, announcements, mosque details). By posting, you grant Tarjiha a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content through the Service for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

You are solely responsible for content you publish and represent that you have the necessary rights to do so.

8. Intellectual property

The Tarjiha name, logo, designs, code and documentation are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service as intended.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it and your rights.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy in prayer-time calculations and notifications, we do not guarantee that timing data will be error-free. We encourage mosques to verify their schedules before publishing.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tarjiha and its officers, employees and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases, but provisions that by nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, disputes) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
